DAVID JAKIELO: SUCCESS STRATEGIES FOR THE 21ST CENTURY

Like the computer consulting businesses that work to solve the so-called Y2K problems, David Jakielo is also focused on helping businesses to be successful as they move into the 21st century. Unlike the computer consultants, however, Dave's interest is in preparing the people in his client organizations for the next millennium. His business motto is, "Success Strategies for the 21st Century."

Dave's mission is to give as many people in the world the ability to become as successful as they want to be. He takes the global nature of this mission seriously and has been working steadily to increase the range of his influence. In 1998, he presented seminars in 180 cities, which took him around the United States and across the Atlantic into the United Kingdom.

To carry out his mission, Dave draws from his hands-on experience in managing patient financial services for a dozen years, as well as over a decade of experience in managing physician practices nationwide for the largest physician practice management firm in the industry.

Dave has expanded his business focus from directing billings inside the once predictable world of healthcare to teaching success skills to a variety of businesses throughout the world. Today, the clients for his speaking, consulting and teaching business include organizations in the healthcare industry, plus successful commercial corporations, such as Sony, Pepsi, 3M, MCI, and American Express.

As a speaker, Dave was trained at the Buckley School of Public Speaking and has been certified to run a number of successful training programs. Despite a solid speaking background, he finds that his PSA and NSA experience are powerful learning opportunities for him.

Dave credits his PSA membership with his ability to collaborate with the group that coauthored The Sales Coach. "I would have never gotten published so quickly on my own," Dave concedes. But meeting professionals like Jeff Tobe catapulted him into the position of a successful author very quickly.

Dave cites additional benefits from his PSA membership, beginning with the openness of many PSA members to help in any way they can. Dave explains that he originally joined PSA and NSA to learn from the "pros" in the speaking business. He feels that he has been able to do that both through monthly meetings and through publications. He enjoys the NSA monthly magazine and tape. "You can learn more on one tape than you could experience in years," Dave believes.

The readiness of nationally known NSA speakers to share what they have learned has really impressed Dave. It reminds him, he says, of another organization to which he belongs: the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Dave doesn't elaborate on why he belongs to a group of magicians. Could it be that his ability to teach people to be successful is partly the result of his own experience and part...sheer magic?

The best way to find out is to connect with Dave at a meeting and ask him yourself.
